Searching for treasure has been a large part of Sailpower games since the game’s inception. These Treasure Cards represents sets of 50, 200 total, different items, people, and supplies that Sailpower players may find. It may also perhaps be adaptable to other Age of Sail games.
Treasures 1-50 were first featured in the Sailpower Core rules, and 51-100 were added with the Sailpower 2.1 “placemat sized” quick reference chart sets. While we loved the larger charts, they were a bit much for a smaller table and it required drawing treasures and looking them up on the charts.
Game Designer Brian Carnes wanted to move to a card format where the players could draw the treasure and immediately read about it without having to look at a chart, and then the treasures could be tucked into the ship sheet. The second piece of this update was to update the quick reference charts to this smaller card sized format. All cards are updated in stats and points values to reflect the expected values for the upcoming Sailpower 3 edition.
In addition this new treasure card collection features 100 ALL NEW treasure cards (sets 3 and 4)
Each “super jumbo tarot sized” Treasure Card (3.5”x5.5”) includes the name of the item, it’s weight, victory points for finding it and for returning it to port. preferred ports, and any abilities that the item gives to the player.
The Treasure Cards are split into 4 sets of 50 cards each, and each set includes 4 Quick Reference cards with the idea that if a player collects all 4 sets they will also have a full set of these new quick reference charts. The sets are as follows:

Quick Reference Charts Boost Set:
While only one deck is needed to play the game, it can be helpful to have extras of cannon cards and other reference cards. This set is 18 cards and will give the purchaser extras of all the charts featured in the 4 treasures sets with doubles of a couple of more popular guns. It’s a highly suggested add-on for games with more then 2 players.
