Daihatsu Landing craft “Barge” NOW in several scales!
Referred to as a military barge by allied forces, it's name was Daihatsu shortened from Dai-Hatsudoutei (Large motor-Boat) and they were built by the thousands. Development started in the 1920s with the first First model, Type A developed in 1925. In the US, Andrew Higgins actually used photos of the boats brought back from China to improve/inspire his new Higgins boat landing craft! The Daihatsu, however was more seaworthy and the Japanese used them for many more things then just landing! The Daihatsu was used for ferrying supplies, small tanks, and vehicles about the coastal waters of numerous pacific islands, and were also set up as gunboats, and even as torpedo boats.

6 Daihatsu-class boats
1 sprue of sample loads (1 truck, 2 torpedo sets, 1 infantry set, and 1 boxes and barrels)
1 sprue of 4 additional trucks (covered, 2 types of open bed, and armed)
15-20mm scale and 28mm scale are single model only with no payloads. These two scales are FDM Printed
This model features 3D printed parts: There are two types of 3D printed parts we use in our products. "FDM" is lower cost, and is what most would recognize as traditional 3D printing. This type of model printed in layers from thermal plastic (generally PLA or PETG), and is lightweight with reasonable detail but will have visible striation (or lines) that the hobbyist may want to clean up using putty, primer, or other hobby techniques. "SLA" is a laser cured photo-resin that has exceptional detail, and generally has a much smoother finish without significantly noticeable striation. This type of material is more expensive, and fine details can be more delicate. Some models may use either or both types of parts, and some models may have the ability for the buyer to select the print type under print options. These models are intended to be painted and may come in different colors.
